MY TAKE: SAPIND having turnaround in FY2011 and quickly dishing out dividend in 2011 and continue recently with another bumper dividend. Last 2 years dividend averaging about 55% of net profit. Given increasing profitability i.e. EPS and seemingly encouraging automotive market in the country, which augurs well for SAPIND to continue profitability and dividend.

Joan Ng said, “Dividends are important because they provide investors with a non market-dependent form of return. The ability to pay a consistently high dividend is a strong indicator that a company is managing its business well and confident of its prospects. That also helps support the market value of stock.”
